If your home has asbestos, mold, vermiculite, or any other severe hazards present please contact us via the contact form on the home page or contact page or email us @ This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call us @ 410-282-1422 before purchasing, we perform a negative pressure test which measures the air leakage of your home which may disturb these hazards. By purchasing you are certifying that your home is 5000 Square Feet or less, including the basement if this is a conditioned/heated area.

Do you have a room that's hot in the summer and cold in the winter? No matter what you do to reduce your energy use, do your bills stay high? We offers a comprehensive, whole-house approach to improving your home's energy efficiency, comfort and safety while helping to reduce your energy costs by 10% to 20%.

Wondering why you would benefir from a Energy Audit? One major benefit is if you are having a specific issue that's bothering you, like a bedroom that's always too hot or too cold, we can help you understand the cause and provide solutions.

In addition to the home energy audit, which costs just $100* (a $400 value) for BGE customers, some of the following simple energy-saving items may be installed with your permission (where applicable)—at no additional cost, direct‐install  measures  are  offered  through  BGE’s  Home  Performance  with  ENERGY  STAR  Program  at  no  additional  cost  to  eligible  customers.

The following measures are available for selection:

  1. Energy‐Efficient LED Light Bulbs: Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) use up to 75% - 90% less energy  and last up to 10 times longer than traditional incandescent or compact flourescent light (CFL) bulbs (up to 20 years)
  2. Efficient‐Flow Showerheads: Program‐approved, efficient‐ flow showerheads use up to 40% less water than a standard showerhead, which uses 2.5 gallons per minute. You’ll also use less energy to heat every shower.*
  3. Smart Power Strip: Average household standby energy consumption can account for 5%–10% of total electricity use. Smart strips automatically turn off the flow of electricity to products that go into standby mode and shut down other peripheral devices (like printers or speakers) when not in use.
  4. Pipe Insulation: Insulated pipes reduce heat loss and can help you conserve water, since you don’t have to wait as long for hot water to come out of the faucet.*
  5. Energy Saving Aerators (1.5 - 2.0 GPM): Highly efficient Standard Faucet Aerators increase spray velocity, reduce splash, save water, and save the energy used to heat water. Available with flow rates of 1.5 and 2.0 gallons per minute (GPM).

*The $100 offer is valid for homes up to 3,000 square feet with a single combustion appliance zone. Audits of larger homes or ones with multiple combustion appliance zones will cost more, every 250 SF over 3000 SF would be a additional $25.

Measures Eligible for Incentives & Rebate Amount - Rebate Varies Based on Savings

Air Sealing, Insulation Measures and Duct Sealing: A $7,500 maximum based on the modeled reduction of electric and natural gas consumption.

Heating and Air Conditioning Equipment Rebates: A $7,500 maximum based on the modeled reduction of electric and natural gas consumption.

Total Maximum Customer Rebate: $250 to $7,500 - As noted above rebate is based on potential savings.

$7,500 maximum or 75% off for entire project work scope.

The first step is scheduling a home energy audit with us. We will use diagnostic equipment to perform a comprehensive home energy audit and determine how improvements throughout your home can work together to maximize energy efficiency and savings. Some of these tests may include:

  1. A blower door test that uses the combination of pressure and airflow measurements to determine your home's air leakage, which contributes to higher energy costs.
  2. Combustion and safety testing to detect carbon monoxide and natural gas leaks.
  3. Verification of adequate ventilation, which is critical to reducing indoor air pollutants, moisture and odors in your home. Without proper ventilation, some household contaminants can cause health problems, while excess moisture can lead to mold growth and physical damage to your home.
